
Heute gehen wir mal ein paar hundert Kilometer weiter nach unten nach Frankreich....und dort gibt es auch eine Barmesse.....

1. Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Thierry Daniel, I am from Brittany in France. I have been working in spirits industry for 15 years. I am the director of Liquid Liquid. We develop, organize and stage made to measure event. Liquid Liquid is the organizer of Cocktails Spirits, the first bar show in France.
2. How did you slip in into bartening?
From my associate Eric Fossard who spent ten years in London (Monte’s, Che, Cecconi’s) with some of the greatest names in the profession and he share with me his knowledge and introduce me to the most of his contacts.
3. For you, what is most important in a bar - can be anything
For me, everything is important, the attention to the details, the atmosphere, the drinks, the bartenders and the customers.
4. In which bar do you feel most comfortable?
I love some bars of the great german bar scene like Le Bon Lion, Becketts but as well some small café in Paris and anywhere i can have a good time and meet new people.
5. What is your favourite spirit?
I love gin and tequila but i’m still open to any others categories.
6. What drink do you drink in which atmosphere?
My heart goes to sour gin based cocktails but i always still open to the bartender suggestion.
7.What is essential for an ideal bar atmosphere/ what is a perfect bar atmosphere?
No rules
8. What makes a good bartender?
To me, only one answer, read the joy of mixology from Gary Regan
9. Do you have any idols?
Too many…
10. What do you think about shochu?
I love shochu but most of all i love japanese culture, the balance between tradition and modernity.
11. What is your favourite quote or advice for our readers?
